Itinerary Number 1: One Week.

Liguria and Capraia

Capraia is situated in the north of the Tuscany archipelago, more close to the Corsica coast than the Italian one. She is the daughter of the volcano raised from the water, that have created a characteristic environment in which white and black rocks predominate. The rocky cost is reachable only by sea.

Departure from Portovenere. Navigation during the night with arrival in Capraia Port next morning. The port is equipped to supply water, fuel and food.

In Capraia you will spend two fantastic days of sun, swimming and sailing. Do not miss Cala Rossa and Cala Mortola. We would also suggest snorkeling to admire the richness of the bottom of the sea. For those loving walking it is possible to cross the island through ancient roman paths; in the centre of the Island there a salt lake, you catch sight of Corsica Island from the view point and you can reach Punta Zenobito that is a extinguished crater. Departure on Sunday to come back to Portovenere, we will arrive late evening.

Our suggestion: it is better to spend more time in Capraia to appreciate the beauty of this island and sailing during the night with arrival at the base next morning.

Start: Marina del Fezzano (Portovenere)

Total Distance: about 180 miles

Itinerary Number 2: One Week.

Cinque Terre - Portofino

Sailing you can reach: Portovenere, Byron Cave, Fiascherino and the popular Cinque Terre (Five Lands). Moore is permitted and by foot it’s possible to visit the heart of these lively villages. Cinque Terre National Park (UNESCO heritage since 1997 ) is part of a sustainable development project that offers in each village an accommodation center.

To continue in direction of France, from Portovenere, head for Santa Margherita Ligure - Portofino, coasting the east cost and mooring at Cinque Terre. The arrival is scheduled in the evening and if the port is full we will spend the night in Santa Margherita. Next morning departure toward Portofino.

Start: Marina del Fezzano (Portovenere)

Total Distance: about 100 miles

Itinerary Number 3: Two Week.

Corsica and Sardinia

It is one of the most favorite Italian itinerary. Corsica is without any doubt the only one of the Mediterranean Islands which has preserved an uncontaminated and wild nature, rich in culture, traditions and historical heritage. “Everything is shining, everything is color, everything is light” it’s how Henry Matisse described Corsica, impressed by the variety of the landscape ranging from big mountains and deserts to the Caribbean beaches, but Corsica has even more to offer!

We will start sailing from Capo Corso on the West coast with rout to the South, helped by the N-NW winds. We can stop at the small and beautiful ports of Centuri and Saint Florent or we can continue discovering the most interesting and variegated side of the island.

Many chance to stop in heartbreaking beaches with a ocean bottom rich of fishes or swimming in crystal clear water. The most popular beaches are situated in the North near the “Ile Rousse” (La Saleccia)or in the south between Bonifacio and Portovecchio (Palombaccia and Santa Giulia beaches). We suggest to visit Santa Manza and Rondinara. The hinterland, instead, offers high mountains (Girolata), with the possibility of birds watching (eaglets, hawks, sea crows).

The optimal cruise continue until the Bocche di Bonifacio. From this point, for few days, you can sail between the fabulous Bocche di Bonifacio’s islands: Lavezzi, Cavallo, Budelli, Spargi, La Maddalena; touching the Costa Smeralda bays and visiting Bonifacio with its amazing white cliff and its port that reminds a fjord.

You can make rout to Porto Cervo and from here go back to the North, sailing on the Corsica oriental side and returning in Portovenere

Start: Marina del Fezzano (Portovenere)

Total Distance: about 450 miles
