In the Tuscany Archipelago food dishes are made with ingredients chosen with fantasy and care.

Particularly refined are dishes that need a long and difficult preparation such as stocafisso alla riese, a fabulous dish with anchovies, onion, tomatoes, green peppers, black olives, pine nuts, olive oil and red hot chili pepper.

Other specialties are: Guruglione, (mainly vegetables), nero di seppia rice, filled squids, Caciucco (fish soup), and also very simple dishes like boiled octopus, fried zerri, filled sardines.


The wine area of Elba is 200 hectares. Wines of Elba have a very high quality and they all have the AOC mark: Elba Bianco (white wine), Elba Rosso (red wine), il Rosato, Ansonica, Moscato and Aleatico.
