Basic Course

In the Waszp basic course you will understand how to move, how to tame a hull that wants to splash away, how to hold off a mainsail that never stops pushing and that tries to get you off the ground, and in the end you will be the one to transform all this power into balance and racing. on the water. You will learn that precision and attitude are key and that the apparent wind does things that we humans cannot imagine. In short, you will learn to fly.

What you will learn on land and on the water

Differences in approach and performance between Waszp and traditional dinghies, correct mental attitude towards foiling, arming and disarming a Waszp, positions and movements, lateral and longitudinal trim, use of one's own weight to plan and displace, boat stationary, apparent wind on planing boats , sailing upwind and downwind, how to safely manage capsize.

What this course offer

On the Waszp they improve balance, reactivity, speed and precision of movements. They refine their steering at the helm and become truly aware of the apparent wind.

For those who have attended the Deriva Due course and / or already have sufficient experience in dinghies, preferably with skiff.

Campus Waszp

The campuses are mainly carried out during the summer period and can be an alternative to the classic vacation. The themes are more or less the same as those treated at the weekend but with more time for deepening and discussion. Waszp test. Try and Fly.

If before taking a real course you want to come and try to fly with the Waszp. An excellent opportunity to try their hand at foil navigation, with a boat specially designed for sailors who want to "try to fly" even if they are approaching foiling for the first time.

What this course offer

This is not a course but a test. The test includes the assistance of an instructor on a dinghy for the duration of the trip. Before leaving there will be a theoretical explanation of the boat and the basic techniques.
